Zechariah 5 Prayer Points

Prayer of Confession
Father, as we contemplate the vision of the flying scroll in Zechariah 5, we are filled with awe and conviction, for we freely acknowledge the weight of our transgressions and the destructive power of our wickedness. We have fallen short of your holy standards and brought shame upon your name. Yet, Lord, we also remember your mercy and your compassion. You are a God of grace who longs to forgive and restore your people. So, we pray that you would continue to reveal to us anything that grieves you, angers you, or displeases you in any way that we might repent of those things and that you might remove our transgressions from us, as far as the east is from the west. Lord, we know that all liars and thieves, idolaters and murderers will not inherit the kingdom of God for their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur forever. So, we plead for a greater gift of repentance to turn away from all our evil thoughts, words, and deeds that you might lead us in the way everlasting.
