Jesus Walk Highlights
After the 20 minute walk is concluded, our guests are invited inside for homemade refreshments (coffee, hot chocolate, punch, cookies, finger foods, popcorn, etc…). Musical performances take place inside each evening.
Our next team meeting/luncheon will be on Sunday, January 26th
Following the morning worship service, mentors, substitutes, prayer partners and support team will please gather in the youth room for a light lunch and meeting. If you are interested in learning more about serving with our Kids Hope team, please join us!
We are grateful for the mentors and prayer partners who are ministering to the children this year. God continues to transform lives through simple, one hour meetings between KIDS HOPE USA mentors and children.
And when you change a life, it’s no small change.
Please contact Rog or Barb Toonder for more information on how you can serve on the Kids Hope Team as a mentor, prayer partner, substitute or lunch crew.

Tyrone Youth Ministry (TYM) is a group of young women and men (6th-12th) gathering together to discuss and learn the Word of God. We desire to strengthen our faith in our Lord and Savior, glorify and love God, serve together, and build lasting relationships. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
Our Sunday morning classes meet from 9:00-10:00 before the worship service and provide a more in-depth understanding of the Bible. These classes are meant to spark an interest in the Bible and in God. Currently, the junior high is studying the book of Genesis and God’s covenants with his people, and the senior high is studying the book of Psalms and how there is a psalm that speaks to every area of your life.
Our large group gathering meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 at the church for a time of fellowship, games, worship, discipleship, and teaching. This is a great opportunity for the youth to get to know each other better and to hear how the Bible applies directly to their lives. Beginning in January, our theme is “What is the Bible?”, exploring topics such as canonicity, inerrancy, and genre, designed to answer both Christians’ and non-Christians’ questions about Scripture and equip both to read it for themselves.
On the first Friday of every month, TYM gets together for a time of fun and fellowship. First Friday events could be anything from board game night at the church to seeing a Flint Firebirds hockey game. Please check Tyrone’s calendar for updates.
February 23 Winter Jam in Ypsilanti
February 28-March 1 Camp Barakel father/daughter retreat (note: this is a recommended event, but TYM will not be organizing a group to go)
