Prayer of Protection
O Lord, you have measured your people, counting each of us as part of your holy plan of restoration, so we rest in your divine will and protection. For you have promised to be a wall of fire around us and to be the glory in our midst. You have also promised to judge and to plunder all those who seek to touch the apple of your eye. We are that apple, O Lord; we are your inheritance, and your portion in the land of the living. We who once were not a people have become the people of God, for we have joined ourselves to the Lord Jesus in the day of trouble. And you have become for us our home, continually dwelling in our midst. O Lord, may all the world stand in silence before your holy throne, for you will rouse yourself to come to the aid of your people.
