Zechariah 1 Prayer Points

Prayer of Confession
Lord of hosts, as you have purposed to deal with us for our sins, so may you deal with us. For we do not want to be like those who do not listen to your Word and who do not pay attention to your commands. You have promised us that if we return to you, you will return to us. O Lord, we long to return to you like the prodigal son, understanding that it was much better to live in our father’s house than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Father, we pray that you would give us the grace to repent of our evil ways and our evil deeds that we might return to your grace, and to the comfort and mercy that are found in Christ Jesus. Our God, you are exceedingly jealous over us and exceedingly angry over our sin and betrayal. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, and return to us the joy of our salvation as we lay all our idols at your feet
