Titus 1 Prayer Points

Prayer for the Church
O Lord God, would you bring order and peace to our church giving us all faith in Jesus Christ and the knowledge of the truth that accords with godliness. Father, we ask particularly this week that you would assist those who have been entrusted with the preaching of God’s Word to bring forth the gospel with zeal and power to strengthen our hope in eternal life and to encourage us to submit to you as our king.

Prayer for elders
We also pray for our elders that they would remain above reproach, and that their children would believe in the gospel and submit to their parents as unto the Lord. Lord, help these men to hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught that they might be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and to rebuke those who contradict it. Father, keep them from arrogance, rage, drunkenness and greed and continue to strengthen them in your goodness, holiness, discipline and love.

Prayer for Sanctification
Lord, rebuke us sharply that we might be sound in the faith not devoting ourselves to myths and the commands of men but to the commands of God. Lord make us pure in mind and conscience that we might do the pure works of the Lord. May none of us merely profess to know you and yet deny you by our works, but Lord reveal yourself to us and give us your wisdom and power that we might be obedient to your holy word and fit for any good work.
