Revelation 2 Prayer Points
Lord Jesus, you are the first and the last, the one who died and rose again. You have eyes like a flame of fire, feet like burnished bronze and a tongue like a sharp two-edged sword. It is you who walks among the churches and who holds its pastors in your hands. You know where we dwell and what we evil we face on a daily basis. You know our faith, our love, our works and our commitment to the truth of your Word. You know our trials, our perseverance, and our zeal.
O Lord, help us to continue to stand up for the truth in this generation and to pursue peace and purity in your church. May we not be afraid to discipline the errant, but give us courage to face whatever suffering we may endure. May we never abandon the love that was given us at first, but may we be quick to repent of our sins, and do the works that we did in the beginning that you might never remove our lampstand from its place. By your strength we are called to be conquerors who will not be hurt by the second death. Instead, may we be granted to eat from the tree of life, to partake of some of the hidden manna, and to receive that white stone with a new name written on it that no one knows but us. O Lord, search our minds and hearts to see if there be any wicked way in us that we might not miss our reward. Help us to hold fast to your word until you return that we might share triumphantly in your rule and you reign.
