Psalm 79 Prayer Points

O God of our Salvation, the nations have defiled your holy sanctuaries, chased your servants, and poured out the blood of the martyrs. Your people have become a taunt to the wicked, mocked and derided by outsiders. How long, O Lord before you will judge and avenge the blood of those who dwell on earth? Lord, show forth your compassion to us and do not remember against us our former iniquities. Help us, O God, for the glory of your name. Why should the nations say, “Where is there God?” Let the groans of the prisoners come before you; according to your great power, preserve those doomed to die! Repay those who seek to harm your people; mix a double portion for them in the cup which they have mixed. May those who taunt you be themselves taunted. But we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will give thanks to you forever; from generation to generation, we will recount your praise.
