Psalm 78 Prayer Points
Most High God, you are our rock and our redeemer. We look to you and earnestly seek your help in all things, for you have been gracious to provide us with everything we need in this life. Yet we have rebelled against you, tested you in our hearts and made unreasonable demands of your majesty. Our hearts have not been steadfast toward you, nor have we been faithful to your covenant. We’ve neglected your holy word, questioned your goodness and doubted your ability to help us in our time of need. Lord, forgive us of our many sins, for you have been compassionate and atoned for our iniquity once for all through your son Jesus. You have not forsaken us though we have forsaken you. Lord, help us to believe in you, to grow in our faith, and to trust in your saving power. We are excited to share with the coming generations your glorious deeds, your great might and the wonders that you have done. By the power of your Spirit, we will faithfully command our children to follow the ways of the Lord, that the next generation might arise and tell them to our grandchildren so that even our great grandchildren might set their hope in you. Lord, strengthen our faith to keep covenant with you as you have kept your covenant with us throughout the generations.
