Psalm 73

Psalm 73 Prayer Points

O Lord God, our Rock and our Refuge, you are good, and it is good to be near you. Whom do we have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that we desire besides you. Our flesh and our heart may fail, but you are the strength of our heart and our portion forever. We magnify your name and remember your glorious works. Truly, you are good to your people, to those who are pure in heart. We are continually with you—you hold us by our right hand. You guide us with your counsel, and afterward, you will receive us into glory. We give you thanks, O God, for your many gifts and for your wondrous mercy. Father, forgive us for doubting you and questioning your ways. Forgive us for our jealousy and bitterness of heart. Forgive us for grumbling and complaining against your sovereign purposes, for acting like mere beasts instead of your chosen and blessed people. Lord Jesus, help us to remember your Day of Judgment when we see the prosperity of the wicked and the many injustices that they commit on earth. Help us to remember that you see all things and that you know the hearts of men. Help us to understand that we do not labor in vain nor do we strive for holiness without reward. When we go into your holy sanctuary, give us your peace that passes understanding, your patience that endures and your love that covers over a multitude of sins. Lord, give us your son Jesus that we might be content.
