Psalm 55

Psalm 55 Prayer Points

Give ear to my prayer, O God, for I have put my trust in you. When my heart is in anguish within me and fear and trembling come upon me, sometimes I wish that I had wings like a dove and could fly away somewhere to be at rest, but you, O Lord, are my rest. Sometimes I want to hide away in some cabin in the woods, but you are my only hiding place. Even when the fiercest winds rage and the tempest threatens all sense of security, you are my shelter. And I will cast my burden upon the Lord, for you will sustain me and will not permit your righteous one to be moved. Even if men of blood and treachery were to seek out my life, O God, I will put my trust in you. I will call upon the name of the Lord and seek the light of your face. Evening, morning and at noon, I will bring my petitions before you, for you are my God, the one enthroned from of old, and you will hear my voice, for you care for me.
