Psalm 45 Prayer Points
Prayer of Adoration: O Father, your throne is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore, you have anointed your only son to carry out our redemption and to usher in your kingdom here on earth. Lord, we long for the splendor and majesty of your kingdom. And as we come before your holy throne in heaven, our hearts are filled with joy and our tongues are filled with praise for your son Jesus. He is most handsome in his majesty and most blessed in your royal house. Grace is poured out upon his lips and he is anointed with the oil of gladness. Even now his sword is strapped to his thigh for when he rides out in victory for the causes of truth, meekness and righteousness. O Lord, may your arrows be sharp in the heart of your enemies that the nations might fall under you.
Prayer for the Church: King Jesus, we have forgotten our people and our father’s house leaving everything to follow you, for you have desired our beauty. And we long for the day of glory when your church will be presented to you in her finest array, when with joy and gladness she will be led into the palace of the king, and when all the nations will acknowledge her beauty and majesty. O Lord, you are our king and we bow before you this day. Sanctify us and wash us of our sins that we might serve you with gladness and honor.
