Psalm 44 Prayer Points

Prayer of Adoration: O Lord, you are our King and our God who has declared victory over the grave and decrees daily victories for his people in Jesus’ name. Father, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, and we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. But we ourselves are weak it is you who are strong. We are less than nothing but you are everything. Therefore, we do not trust in ourselves or lean on our own understanding, but in God we make our boast all the day long, and we praise your name forever.

Prayer for the Church in our Nation: Lord Jesus, all authority in heaven and earth has been granted unto you to send forth your people with the good news of the gospel in every nation, and you have granted us divine power to tear down strongholds and to demolish arguments and every lofty opinion that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. Lord, we have heard what you did years ago in our land when you brought great revivals to entire cities and regions in our country driving out wickedness and promoting righteousness causing your Church to flourish and to prosper. It was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face that accomplished all this when you poured out your love and power upon your people. But now, O Lord, the Church is so weak in our country, the Law of God is despised, and the Gospel is unknown to many. You have humbled us as your people and made us a reproach to our neighbors. Is it because we have forgotten you O God, and our hearts have grown proud? Is it because we have been false to your holy covenant and our feet have strayed from your just commands? If it is, O God, help us to rend our hearts and not our garments, to repent of our sins and to return to you. O Lord, do not hide your face from us, but grant to us your power and grace once again to go out confidently in the name of the Lord trusting in your unfailing love.
