Micah 7 Prayer Points

O Lord, you are our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. In these dark days, it often seems as if the godly have perished from the earth, and that there is no one upright among mankind. Great men utter the evil desires of their hearts and their hands freely carry out their wicked schemes. Friends, neighbors and even family members love the ways of the world and perceive us to be their enemies because we look to your ways and hasten the day of your coming. Many rejoice when they hear of the sin and failure of those who confess your name, and they say mockingly “Where is the Lord your God?” O Lord, preserve our faith and holiness in such a perverted culture. Shine your heavenly light upon us that our sins might be rooted out and we might not be ashamed in the day of trial. Shepherd your people with your rod and staff keeping us within the safety of your fold. Build up your holy church in love and purity that all peoples might see our progress in the faith and come to you with willing hearts. Cause our enemies to place their hands over their mouths and to be ashamed of their words. Fill their hearts with the fear of the Lord, for you alone can do it. O Lord, who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression. You do not retain your anger forever, because you delight in steadfast love. You will again have compassion on us and tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea, showing faithfulness and steadfast love to your people forever.
