Mark 15

Mark 15 Prayer Points

Lord Jesus, you are the eternal Son of God, the crucified king of the Jews, and the resurrected Lord of life. You are the righteous one, in whom there is no sin, who stood in the place of a lowly criminal. You were ridiculed, mocked, struck and spat upon by the guards and yet you opened not your mouth. The crowds wagged their heads at you, the teachers of the law taunted you and even the criminals hanging beside you reviled your name, and yet you opened not your mouth. Even God, your Father turned his back on you and forsook you when you took our sin upon your shoulders and he poured out his fierce anger upon you. O Lord, we give you thanks for saving us while we were yet still sinners. And we ask that you would give each of us courage to acknowledge you in all our ways so that none of us might be secret followers of Christ.
