Leviticus 11

Leviticus 11 Prayer Points

O Lord, our God, you have brought us out of slavery to sin and freed us by the blood of your son. And you have called us as your holy people to walk in holiness since you yourself are holy. You have taught us to distinguish between what is good and evil, what is clean and unclean, what pleases you and what is detestable in your sight. We recognize that we could never achieve that perfect separation and holiness on our own, so we continue to look to our faithful savior Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, we desire to walk according to your holy will. And we thank you that through the sacrifice of your son, we are no longer defined by what we eat or what we abstain from eating, since you have declared all foods clean. Having revealed to us an even greater truth that true defilement comes from within the heart, so may we eat and drink and do all things for your glory. Father, we offer our hearts to you and pray that you would purify them, setting us apart for your holy service through your power at work within us.
