Lamentations 2 Prayer Points

O Lord God, we pour out our hearts to you like water, revealing to you our innermost thoughts without fear or hesitation because you are God our Savior and we are your beloved sons and daughters. Our Father we confess our sins to you and we truly hate them, but we don’t hate them half as much as you do. Your jealous love over us burns like a flaming fire against all our impurity, and your fierce indignation seeks to destroy our every stronghold. Lord Jesus, you have been so loving and faithful and patient with your bride, laying down your life for us and washing us with the water of your Word, wooing us and interceding for us, and yet we have played the harlot offering our love to many idols. O Holy Spirit, do not disown us, but take pity upon your people for we have languished in our sin and wallowed in our misery. We return to you in desperation asking that you would comfort us once again. O Lord, expose our wicked hearts and heal us of every deformity. Restore in us the beauty of your sanctification and the joy of our salvation, we pray, in Jesus’ name.
