Jeremiah 6 Prayer Points

We heed your gracious warnings, O Lord, that the Day of the Lord is coming upon all the wicked in the land. Even now the trumpet blows, yet the ears of our neighbors are uncircumcised and cannot hear. The Word of the Lord is an object of scorn to them so that they take no pleasure in it. Everyone is greedy for unjust gain, and everyone deals falsely. There is oppression in the city and its inhabitants are always full of fresh evils. Their sickness and wounds are ever before you that you should justly turn away from them in disgust. They commit many abominations but they are not ashamed of it. They do not even know how to blush. Therefore, they will surely fall and be overwhelmed at the day of your coming when you stretch out your hand against all the evil inhabitants on earth. And yet they continue to say “peace, peace,” when there is no peace. For their sin has caused them to lie to themselves to avoid dealing with your holy anger. Yet you will cause them to eat the fruit of their own devices, and they will stumble upon the stumbling stone, which is Christ. O Lord, we mourn for them, our unbelieving family members, friends and neighbors when the destroyer suddenly comes upon the world. And we pray that they might humble themselves and come to know you as their savior and Lord, that they might not be rejected forever. O Lord, teach them the ancient paths, where the good way is, that they might walk in it and find rest for their souls.
