Jeremiah 23 Prayer Points

O Lord, you are both a God far away and a God at hand. No man can hide himself in secret places so that you cannot see him, for you fill heaven and earth. You see that the nations are full of adultery, that those with might are not right and that the land mourns because of the wicked in on earth. Surely their way shall be to them like slippery paths in the darkness into which they shall be driven and fall, for you will bring disaster upon them in the year of your punishment. Already your wrath has gone forth like a whirling tempest and is ready to burst upon the heads of the wicked. And your anger will not turn back until you have executed and accomplished all the intent of your heart.

Lord, you are our righteousness and our salvation, for apart from your mercy we too would be consumed on the day of judgment. But you have given us your son Jesus, and you have given us your word like fire and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces. O Lord, make us to hear your word and to obey. Cause us to be fruitful and multiply. Help us to hear the voice of the good shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep that we might turn away from our evil ways and pursue righteousness and holiness in the fear of the Lord.
