Jeremiah 12

Jeremiah 12 Prayer Points

Righteous are you, O Lord, when we complain to you. But why does the way of the wicked often prosper, and why do all who are treacherous seem to thrive. Surely, you, O Lord, know us; you see us, and test our hearts toward you. And you will set apart the wicked for the day of slaughter. But how long, O Lord, must the land mourn and the grass wither? How long must your people groan under the tyranny of the wicked and the continual evil of this world? Lord, the beloved of your soul suffers under the hands of her enemies all around the world. Surely, you see it and will not abandon your heritage. Even your own shepherds have destroyed your holy vineyard and have trampled down your chosen portion on the earth. They have caused your sheep to scatter and your church to lay desolate, and no one lays it to heart. O Lord, at times your people have sown good seed and have reaped only thorns; we have tired ourselves out but have profited little. Lord of the Harvest, we are ashamed that our harvest is so small. Have compassion on your people O God and grant us the power to bear a good testimony to your name, to confess that you alone are Lord and that your way is always right and good.
