Isaiah 49

Isaiah 49 Prayer Points

The Lord our Shepherd, you have called us by name from the womb and formed us to be your servants to carry out your holy will. Use us, O God, for honorable purposes, whether high or low. Make our mouths like sharp swords to speak your word so that sinners might be brought back to you. Send us forth as polished arrows from your holy quiver so that your name might be honored among men. We are your humble servants who long to spend and be spent for your glory. Let us not labor in vain or spend our strength for nothing. We are your city set on a hill; may your glorious light shine brightly through us.

You are our Righteousness and our Reward. In a time of favor, you have answered us; in the day of salvation, you have helped us. You have kept us, pursued us with goodness and mercy, and given us your precious promises. You have comforted us and shown us your compassion. You will never leave us or forsake us. You will never forget us, for you have engraved us on the palms of your hands.

King of kings and Lord of lords, may every king rise in your presence and every prince lie prostrate before you. May all the leaders of this world bow with their faces to the ground and lick the dust of your feet. Lift up your hand to the nations, O God, and raise your signal to the peoples so that they might bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders, to know you, to love you, and to serve you. We wait for your day, O Lord, and pray for it to make haste, that all flesh might know that you are the Lord our Savior, our Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
