Isaiah 39 Prayer Points

Father, forgive us for trusting in our riches, for seeking the applause of men, and for boasting in our accomplishments, forgetting that it all comes from you and belongs to you. Forgive us also for our worldliness, selfishness and shortsightedness, being content with the things of this world and having little thought for the riches of heaven. Help us, Lord, to not be so easily distracted by temporary pleasures and to not rest in the fleeting security of this world. Turn our hearts to seek your kingdom first, so that we might not be dismayed when our treasures are lost or stolen. Give us a true and lasting peace that comes from knowing you, and a heart that desires nothing on earth besides you. Teach our children and our grandchildren this wisdom from heaven that they also might find their treasure in you. And give us all the ears to hear and tremble at your word.
