Isaiah 34 Prayer Points

O Lord God, whose word is holy and whose purpose is sure, we pray that the nations would draw near to hear, and that all peoples would give attention to your word concerning the Day of your Vengeance. Though it is a day of terror for the wicked, we pray that your truth would be heard.

We know that on that day, the hosts of heaven shall fall and the skies be rolled up like a scroll. Your sword will be drawn against all those devoted to destruction, many will be slaughtered, and the land shall drink its fill of blood. On that day, the cities of destruction will finally be destroyed, when you stretch forth the line of confusion over the land, and the plumb line of emptiness, when the strongholds of the wicked become the haunts of wild animals.

Though we tremble at the sound of your judgment, we give you praise, for you are just and righteous. We pray that Christ would come quickly, and in his holy vengeance, establish his everlasting kingdom on earth.
