Isaiah 33

Isaiah 33 Prayer Points

O Lord, be gracious to us, for we wait for you. Be our arm every morning and our salvation in the time of trouble. Lift yourself up, O God, that the wicked would scatter and all sinners would flee. You, O Lord, are exalted, for you dwell on high. You fill your kingdom with justice and righteousness. You are the stability of our times, the abundance of wisdom and knowledge, and our greatest treasure.
We mourn the fallen world in which we live, where covenants are continually broken, and once thriving cities now lie in waste. Where heroes have become villains, and the land languishes without the blessings of your righteous rule. We pray that you would arise, O Lord, and be exalted, to destroy the destroyers and betray the traitors to your kingdom.
May those who are far off hear of your wondrous works, and may those who are near acknowledge your glorious might. May those who tremble in their sin turn to Christ to be saved, and may the righteous dwell on the heights of the land and flourish by your Spirit.
We long to see the king in his beauty and his kingdom stretch from shore to shore. We long for the New Jerusalem, that untroubled habitation and that immovable tent whose stakes will never be plucked up and whose cords will be never be broken. We long for our Savior to be our judge, our king and our lawgiver in a land where all iniquity has been forgiven and all evil has been eradicated. We long for Jesus!
