Isaiah 23 Prayer Points

Lord of Hosts, we come before you, acknowledging your sovereign hand over the commerce of all the nations. We have witnessed the evil dealings of the merchants who value profit over people and who defraud the weak and the ignorant. Their businesses serve as a conduit for the devil, peddling not just wares but wickedness, trafficking in human souls and promoting evil goods and services that defile your people and bring a curse upon the land. Those who operate on the global stage often rise to princely status, honored throughout the earth, but their pride is pompous in your eyes.

O God, we pray that you would stretch out your mighty hand to shake the pillars of all earthly kingdoms built on unjust gain. May you purpose against the arrogant pride of all human glory, bringing to dishonor those who defraud others to benefit themselves. Let every stronghold of greed and exploitation be utterly destroyed and laid waste, so that none may exult in their corrupt dealings, nor find any rest in their material abundance.

We pray for the day when the corrupt will be forgotten in their iniquity, and when their merchandise, once earned through spiritual prostitution with the kingdoms of this world, will be made holy to you, O Lord. May it no longer be stored or hoarded for selfish gain, but instead, by your divine purpose, let this abundant merchandise supply rich provision and fine clothing for all who dwell before you, serving your people and glorifying your name. Father, we long for the return of your Son who is coming to make all things new, to whom belongs all glory and honor forever. Amen.
