Isaiah 19 Prayer Points

Oh, Lord God, King of all creation, we look to that glorious, awesome day when Christ, our Savior and Judge, will come riding upon the clouds and the idols of the nations will tremble and fall in His consuming presence. Let the hearts of the peoples melt within them at the revelation of Your power and glory. Let our enemies be confounded by the light. We pray, Lord, that you would frustrate the counsel of those who inquire of idols and sorcerers, those who seek wisdom from the darkness. Show forth the utter foolishness of their so-called “wise men,” that all might know your immutable power and purpose against the kingdoms of this world. Let it be clear that there is nothing they can do to stop your sovereign plan. May they be full of paralyzing fear when You shake the earth and every foundation trembles.

Yet, amidst this righteous judgment, we cling to the glorious promise of Your mercy and salvation. We rejoice that in that day, many will swear allegiance to You, Lord of Hosts. We look forward to the day when a sanctuary will be established in places like Egypt, and a monument will be set at the borders, serving as a sign and witness to Your rule and majesty. And may you will reveal yourself as their Savior, Defender, and Deliverer. We pray for that day when you will make yourself known to them, and they will truly know You, worshipping with a sacrifice of praise and a heartfelt thank offering. May they make vows to You, O Lord, and be faithful to perform them.

We cry out for the healing of the nations, that your people would return to you, and that you would graciously listen to their pleas for mercy. For even people from the cruelest nations on earth will become your people, the very work of Your hands, sharing in the inheritance of your saints. We long for the day when there will be a highway between the nations, and all will stream together to worship You in the splendor of Your holiness. Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly. May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. To You be all glory, honor, and power, now and forever. Amen.
