Exodus 14

Exodus 14 Prayer Points

Prayer of Adoration
Our Father, hallowed be your name. There is no one like you. How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. For you parted the waters of the Sea and you threw the great Egyptian army into a panic causing them to fear and to flee before your presence. You hardened the heart of their king and threw both horse and rider into the Sea leaving the bodies of the wicked dead upon the seashore. No man can stand before you. No army can fight against you. No nation can thwart your holy will. You are God over all, and we praise your glorious name!

Prayer of Confession
O Lord, like the Israelites who accused you of leading them out of Egypt only to kill them in the wilderness, we have bitterly complained against your holy and sovereign will. We have not understood your ways, nor trusted your paths, nor believed in your goodness. Instead, we have believed the lies of the devil, sought out our own way and grasped at equality with God. O Father, we are so foolish, so ungrateful, and we are of so little faith, fearing man so easily and fearing your name so reluctantly. Please forgive us of our unbelief and of our grumbling against your guidance, O Great Jehovah. May we never again say, like the Israelites, “Leave us alone O God, for it would have been better for us back in Egypt.” May we never again doubt your love and protection over us. For we have seen the salvation of our God and we know that you are the Lord who fights for us. And we place our hands over our mouths in your presence, for your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts are higher than our thoughts. O Lord, we do believe, help our unbelief, we pray in Jesus’ name.
