Prayer of Adoration
Our Father, you are a God of Wonders, who gives life and who takes it away. Blessed be the name of the Lord! You are the God who bestows favor and honor and all good things upon the upright. You are holy, righteous and good, and we praise you that you make a distinction between the good and the wicked. We give thanks to your holy name, for your anger is but for a moment and your favor is for a lifetime. You are our portion, O Lord, and we entreat your favor this day with all our heart. Be gracious to us according to your promise, and shine the light of your face upon us, we pray.

Prayer of Sanctification
O Lord, sanctify us for your service this day that there might be a clear distinction between the world and your people. And though the world hates us because of your righteousness, grant us favor in the sight our neighbors that they might recognize your power and blessing upon us. May the name of Christ be great in our land and may your people trust in your greatness that all of our enemies might see our good works and bow down before your holy throne giving honor to your name.
