Amos 9 Prayer Points:

Prayer of Adoration: O Lord God of hosts, you built your upper chambers in the heavens and found your vault upon the earth. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. When you touch the earth it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn. When you call for the waters of the sea they are poured out upon the surface of the earth—the Lord is your name.

Prayer of Confession: We who are called by your name come before your holy throne in fear and humility for your eye is always upon us. Where can we go to flee from your presence? If we were to dig into Sheol, from there your hand would take us. If we were to climb up to heaven, from there you would bring us down. If we could hide ourselves on top of a mountain, you would search us out and take us. If we could hide at the bottom of the sea, there your hand would lay heavy upon us. Your eyes, O Lord, are too pure to look upon evil without destroying it. So rather than running or seeking to hide from you, we have fled to you for refuge, pleading the name of your son, and our savior, Jesus. O Lord, we have fallen into sin, but you have promised to raise us up by faith. Lord, forgive us, restore us, and repair the ruins in our lives. Help us to take hold of your kingdom once again, to enjoy the sweet wine flowing from your holy cup, and to bear the good fruit that comes from being planted firmly in good soil.
