Amos 6 Prayer Points:

Prayer of Adoration: Father, hallowed be your name. Be exalted O Lord among the nations. Be exalted in all the earth. May all the nations fear you and call upon your holy name.

Prayer of Confession: O Christ, forgive us for not acknowledging you in all our ways and reluctantly making mention of your name. Forgive us for our pride in relying upon our own wisdom and strength. And forgive us for being at ease in Zion when you’ve called us to work out our sanctification with fear and trembling.

Prayer for the Nation: O Lord, we mourn over the moral ruin in our country. Many of our leaders are lying on beds of ivory and drinking wine in bowls while our country is being torn asunder. There are so many strongholds of evil firmly entrenched in our land. We’ve turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood. We boast in our strength and we rejoice in evil. We are not any better than Sodom and Gomorrah and probably deserve much worse. Lord, have mercy upon the United States and pour out your spirit upon the foolish and ignorant.
