Isaiah 8

Isaiah 8 Prayer Points

Lord of hosts, as the world around us rages with fear, conspiracy, and the clamor of those who curse our king and God, we pray for a spirit of discernment. Help us not to fear what the peoples around us fear, nor to dread what they dread. Forgive us, Lord, for the times our hearts have been weighed down by anxiety and the schemes of this world. Help us to look to You, to trust in Your presence, and to walk in Your ways, even when the path seems dim. For You are our God, and in You alone do we find true peace and salvation. May You be our dread, and may You be our awe. May you be our sanctuary and our shelter in times of trouble. May Your Word be our guide, our testimony, and our instruction. Let Your Law be firmly bound within our hearts, a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Keep us from stumbling and from being snared by the darkness around us. Lord, we pray also for those who are lost and who still wander hopelessly in the darkness. Turn their hearts to You, the living God, the true source of light and truth. May your light break forth in our land, and may we and our children serve as signs of your kingdom and as beacons of hope. Our hope is in you, O Lord, and we wait for you.
