Leviticus 14 Prayer Points
Heavenly Father, we are in awe of your eternal holiness and purity, especially when we consider how this world and its inhabitants are defiled in so many ways. The fresh and new quickly fade, the healthy and strong eventually grow sick and weak, and that which is clean inevitably becomes filthy. Not only are we subject to physical and mental diseases but even to spiritual maladies that corrode our feeble spirits, alienating us from others, and separating us from you, the source of all life and health. Lord Jesus, we are amazed by your compassion and sympathy demonstrated to those afflicted by leprosy, how you were not repulsed by their suffering nor defiled by their uncleanness. Instead, when you touched them, the desperately sick became well and the unclean became pure. We know that you are the only one who can truly make us clean, and that you are willing to do so through the washing of water by the word. O Holy Spirit, continue this divine work of cleansing in our lives, healing us from the devastating effects of sin and giving us new life in Christ Jesus that we might be found blameless and spotless at the coming of the Lord Jesus when he gathers his people into the eternal kingdom. For we know that nothing unclean will ever enter into the city of the New Jerusalem, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
