Leviticus 1 Prayer Points

Holy, Lord, we know that you desire only perfect offerings to be given to you in worship, and so we acknowledge that there is nothing that we can give you that would make us acceptable in your sight and allow us access into your holy sanctuary. We are full of blots and blemishes because of our sin. Even our hands and hearts are stained by our evil desires and actions. But we give you thanks that Christ offered himself as a perfect sacrifice without blemish and as a fragrant offering to atone for all our transgressions, so that through the blood of Christ, our hearts have been purified from dead works to serve the living God. And now we cling to the truth that through faith in Jesus we are made righteous in your sight, covered by his perfect sacrifice. Help us, O Lord, to then offer up our own bodies as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to you as our spiritual act of worship. Through our union with Christ, may all our attempts to worship you be as a fragrant offering in your sight, reflecting Christ’s purity and devotion which your Spirit is continually working in us.
