2 Corinthians 9

2 Corinthians 9 Prayer Points

Gracious God, we give you thanks for our daily bread and for the continual supply of seed for sowing and for reaping a harvest of righteousness among others. For you have made your grace to abound toward us more than sufficient for our needs that we might abound in every good work. Again, you have enriched us in every way that we might be generous in every way. O Lord, as you have given us the seed, so also give us the stirring that we might give to our brothers, invest in your kingdom, and spend and be spent for the sake of your holy name. Father, please give us more of the grace of giving that none of us would have reluctant hearts and none of us would need to be compelled to hand over that which is rightfully yours anyway; thus, make us into the cheerful givers that you love. And help us to sow bountifully that we also might reap bountifully that our sowing might produce in many the desire to give you thanks and to glorify your name because of our glad and willing submission to your holy will. Transform us, we pray, by the power of your Spirit, to reflect your divine image in goodness and grace opening our hearts wide to love you and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
