Lamentations 4 Prayer Points
O Lord, you are the everlasting God and the maker of all men. Originally, in the Garden, Adam was purer than snow and the beauty of his form was like sapphire, but in the Fall, his face, became as black as soot. Oh, how the gold has grown dim and the precious sons of God, worth their weight in gold, have become like earthen pots cracked and broken. Now, our days are numbered, and our lives come to an abrupt end. Now, we wander like blind men through the streets wearing defiled garments trying to hide our sin and shame.
Lord, if you were to give full vent to your anger because of our sin, we would all be consumed, for we all have sinned against your holy throne and fall far short of your glory daily. But we thank you O Lord, for giving us your son Jesus that he was pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our iniquities Upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we have been healed. Gracious Father, we thank you that he has drunk the cup that we deserved and has accomplished our salvation through his perfect obedience. We trust and rest in his name alone for our salvation.
