Exodus 18 Prayer Points
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, our Rock and our Redeemer, our Benefactor and our Help in time of need. We rejoice for all the good that you have shown to your people and for how you have provided for us in all our hardships while we have lived as sojourners in a foreign land. O Lord, you are greater than all gods and we bring to you our sacrifice of praise.
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul, and the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. As we read your word this morning, Lord, let us glean from it the wisdom from heaven that we might not think more highly of ourselves than we ought, that we might not think that we are indispensable, and that we might not wear ourselves out doing our work in isolation and in the flesh. Lord, teach us to walk with Christ, and to walk with the wise, with those who are trustworthy and who fear the Lord that we might be able to bear our burdens with each other and spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Father, direct us by your Holy Spirit, uphold us by your power, and guide us by your wisdom that we might able to persevere in the faith and to find joy in the journey.
