Exodus 4 Prayer Points
Prayer of Adoration
O Lord, it is you who have man’s mouth and allows him to speak or else causes him to be mute. It is you who opens his ear or else makes him deaf, who illumines his eye or else inflicts blindness upon him. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Every ability, every gift, and every privilege comes from your sovereign will and gracious hand. And we give you thanks for the unique combination of gifts and graces that you have given unto us that we might not compare ourselves with others or be jealous of others, but be grateful to you for your goodness and kindness to us not only in delivering us from sin but using us to do your good will.
Prayer for Wisdom
Lord, we pray that you would give us wisdom to know ourselves well enough that we might use all that you have given unto to us for your service and glory, that we might worship you with our mouths and with our hands. Father, instead of saying “Lord, please send someone else” to do your work, may we say, “Here I am, Lord, send me.” And help us to know that you go with us in all that you have called us to do. May we not look to outward symbols to know your power and presence but trust in your promises from of old. Lord, may we not expect miracles or look for signs and wonders like a wicked generation but simply trust your Word and walk accordingly serving you with gladness and fear.
