Exodus 3 Prayer Points

Prayer of Adoration
God our Father, you are the Lord, the great I Am, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of the Jew and the Greek, and the God of all who call upon you in the name of your son Jesus. As we come before your holy throne this morning in prayer and offer to you our sacrifice of praise, we acknowledge that we are standing on holy ground for you, our God, are holy. But rather than removing our shoes in your presence or covering our faces in shame, we come into the light through the name of Jesus who has borne our sins and given us his righteousness. O Lord, be pleased to accept our worship this morning and to draw near to us in love and truth, we pray, in Christ’s name.

Prayer for humble servants
Lord, we have heard the good news of the gospel and have believed, and we have heard your call to do the work of the Lord and have obeyed, and yet at times we are fearful and reluctant to do what you have commanded. May we not be like Moses who saw only his weakness but also look to you, our God, and to your strength. May we not worry about what we will say but trust that you will help us to speak your Word with confidence. Whatever it is that you would have us to do this day, Lord, give us courage and strength to obey knowing that we serve the living God and that you will go with us in power and love.
