Exodus 1

Exodus 1 Prayer Points

Prayer of Thanksgiving
O God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, just as you have promised, you have multiplied your people as the stars of heaven and as the sand on the seashore and caused all the nations of the earth to be blessed through the seed of Abraham. You have protected us from our enemies and have provided for our needs granting us new mercies every morning and proving your faithfulness to us each night. We give you thanks for you kindness and goodness to us in the land of the living.

Prayer for the Nation
Father, in these last few generations in America there have arisen a new set of leaders who do not know you, who do not fear your laws, and who do not respect your people. They are afraid of our numbers and our influence and have decided to deal shrewdly with us. Thankfully, the laws of the land and the power of your Spirit hinders them from slaughtering your people outright, yet they still have sought to afflict the saints with various burdens in the courtroom and in society as a whole. Lord, we pray for our legislators that you would give them wisdom from above, that you would remind them that they are mere men and women and that there will be a day of accounting for all the decisions they have made.

Prayer for the Church
Lord, we ask that you would give to the church in this generation men who have understanding of the times to know what we ought to do and how we should respond to the new opposition against Christ and his Church. We pray also for the saints that we would fear your name above all and be willing to disobey the king if he gives us commands us to do evil. O Lord, deal well with your servants who persevere through tribulation and remain faithful to Christ even unto death.
