2 Timothy 1 Prayer Points
Prayer of Thanksgiving: Father, we thank you for saving us and calling us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of your own purpose and grace, which you gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus. We thank you also for the good example of our ancestors who served you prior to us with a clear conscience, and for our brothers and sisters in Christ today who share in our joy, who hold a sincere faith in our Lord Jesus, and who refresh our hearts by their love and service to the saints.
Prayer for the Church: O Holy Spirit, help us to fan into flame the gift of God which is in us to serve you with gladness. May we all follow the pattern of sound words that we have heard, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Prayer for our Witness: Lord, you have not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control, so let us not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God. We are not ashamed O Christ, for we know whom we have believed, and we are convinced that you are able to guard until the day what we have entrusted to you. Through our plain speech, our boldness, and our joy in the Lord, may many find mercy from the Lord on that final day.
