Obadiah 1 Prayer Points

Prayer for the Day of the Lord:
Lord God Almighty, you are the rightful king and sovereign ruler over all the peoples. Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, or like dust on the scales in your sight. And you will assuredly make a full end of all the nations on the day of judgment. For many kings are full of pride and arrogance, rejecting your holy laws and oppressing your holy people. They sit in their lofty dwellings believing that no one can take them down, but the pride of their hearts has deceived them and they will be utterly demolished and despised on the day of the Lord. Their lands will be pillaged, their riches will be plundered, and their own allies will deceive them, for you will frustrate the counsel of their wise men and destroy the power of their mighty men on the day of the Lord. Because of the violence that they have inflicted upon the righteous, stealing our wealth and rejoicing over our ruin, your people will rejoice in the day of their misfortune. For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations when you will do to them what they have done to us. O Lord Jesus, our savior, we long for the day of your arrival when you will claim all the kingdoms of this world as the kingdom of our God, humbling every king and plundering the wealth of every nation that your people might inherit the earth and possess the land of her enemies finally entering into her promised rest. The word of the Lord has spoken and we have believed it. May it be just as you have said, and may all your people add their loud Amen.
