2 Thessalonians 1 Prayer Points

Father, we thank You for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world, hearing of their work of faith, labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. It is so encouraging for us to see how the gospel has advanced around the globe not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. And we pray for those who are currently suffering under persecution that you would strengthen and preserve their faith in the midst of great affliction. Lord, we thank you for turning our hearts from idols to serve the living and true God and for giving us the hope of heaven. We thank you for those who first brought us the gospel message, for the way their lives reflected the truth that they proclaimed. We pray that we too might embody the message of the gospel, receiving Your Word with joy in the Holy Spirit, even in the midst of trials. Strengthen us, O God, to be examples to all who believe, wherever we may go. May our faith be genuine, our love be sincere, and our hope in Jesus Christ be unwavering. Help us to live lives that bring glory to Your name.
