2 Corinthians 6

2 Corinthians 6 Prayer Points

Great God, our Heavenly Father, we thank you that we live in a favorable time in the day of salvation in which we have received an abundance of grace from heaven. For you have made your dwelling place with us as your holy temple walking among us, and you have claimed us as your holy people called out by name. You have become a father to us, and we have become your sons and daughters. O Lord, you have opened your heart wide unto us. Now, we want to open our hearts wide to you. May we not receive any of these gracious favors in vain but learn to enjoy and to protect the privileges that we have in Christ Jesus by walking with you in holiness and love. For we know, O Lord, that there is no partnership between righteousness and lawlessness, no fellowship between light and darkness, and no accord between Christ and the devil. We are a new creation in Christ, called out from the world to be your sanctified people, so may we stop flirting with evil and seek to do good that we might not put an obstacle in anyone’s way. O Lord, help us to walk with honor and endurance rejoicing in the midst of our afflictions. Help us to bear the spiritual fruit of patience, kindness and love with our enemies, and remind us that our battle is against the spiritual forces of darkness that we might fight with the weapons of righteousness that you have provided. For your name’s sake, O Lord, and for your honor and praise, we make these petitions.
