2 Corinthians 11 Prayer Points

O Christ Jesus, our promised bridegroom, we are so grateful that you have chosen us to be your holy bride and for your divine jealousy over us, protecting us from evil and promoting in us purity, wisdom and honor. O Lord, we are so weak in love and prone to wander, easily led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to our husband. Please forgive us for our foolishness and weakness when we are tempted to turn to some other Jesus, or to some other spirit, or to another gospel altogether. Where else can we go for you alone have the words of eternal life. O Lord, protect your feeble church from false apostles, deceitful workmen and those disguised as servants of righteousness who seek to lead your people astray. We ought to know better for they boast in the flesh rather than in Christ and their ends correspond to their deeds. We want nothing to do with such men and their teachings for we love our freedom in Christ. We can’t go back again into slavery. Jesus, make us strong in the Lord, confident in our faith and jealous in our affections for you.
