Isaiah 38 Prayer Points

Lord God, our King who reigns over us, our Prophet who speaks to us the words of life, and our Priest who hears our prayers and intercedes for us, we come before you in love. We know that our lives are but a breath and all our days are numbered before we were ever born. We cannot add to them, nor can we add to our stature. But you, O Lord, are our Healer and Sustainer, our Defender and Deliverer; you are the lifter of our heads. Help us this day to walk before you in faithfulness and with a whole heart, that we might do what is good in your sight while we still have breath. Each morning our eyes look upward to you, our pledge of safety, until you pluck up our tents and bring our mortal lives to an end. Forgive us our sins, we pray, casting them all behind your back forever, and deliver us from the dark pit of despair. Nevertheless, assure us of your love in the bitterness of our souls, that we might know that any evil that befalls us is for our welfare. We thank you, O Lord, and praise you; we hope in your faithfulness and make it known to our children’s children. May we sing for joy in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives.
