Hosea 1 Prayer Points

Lord God of Israel, we do not arrogantly condemn the Israelites for their spiritual whoredom and unbelief, for we are just as prone to sin as they were. We are just as weak and foolish, so we humbly confess our sins to you and plead for your mercy in Jesus’ name that we might not be cut off from the cultivated olive tree as they once were. Lord, we soberly fear your severity against sin and give you thanks for your kindness toward us, praying that we might continue in that kindness. For we know that it was because of Israel’s trespass that salvation has come to the us, in order to make Israel jealous. So that now we who once were not your people have been called sons of the living God, and we who once were not your treasured possession are now called your beloved ones. Our Father, you’ve promised that the number of your people shall be like the sand of the sea which cannot be measured or numbered, so have mercy upon the Jews and bring light to the Gentiles, gathering all your people together under one head, the Lord Jesus Christ, to your glory and praise.
