1 Thessalonians Ch.5 

O God of peace, sanctify us completely that our whole spirit, soul and body might be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know that the day of the Lord will come like a thief and that sudden destruction will come upon the wicked that none might escape. But we are not in darkness for that day to surprise us, for you have called us out of the darkness into your marvelous light. Help us to remain in the light, O Lord, and not to fall asleep again in our sin. Keep us awake and soberminded, wearing the full armor of God, watching and praying for Christ’ return. For you have not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through your son Jesus who died for us that we might live with him. Help us to encourage our brothers, even as we pray for them, that we might build one another up in love. Fill our hearts with joy that we might rejoice always. Fill us with boldness to pray always. and fill us with humility to give thanks always and in all circumstances. May we not quench your Holy Spirit but keep in step with him in love. Give us wisdom that we might know how to admonish the idle, to encourage the fainthearted, and to help the weak, showing patience with them all. O Lord, you who have called us to such a high calling and you will surely do it in us.
